Jet lag over and the experience begins...
So I am mostly communicating through my blog right now since I have no time or access really to internet until I arrive at my host family's home on Sunday. I aplogize for being slow on replying even to my parents, but you guys already know I love you. Spekaing of Sunday, since my luggage arrived I have a new dilemma. Sunday is the Superbowl and being from Indianapolis this is a very important event. The dilemma is in the fact that France will not really be showing the Superbowl, or if there is someplace showing it, it won't start until 10pm or 11pm local time here. We'll see what happens, but if I don't have the oppertunity to see the Colts play then I want to take the oppertunity to say GO COLTS now, and sorry if you're a Chicago fan ;) Besides figuring out what to do about the Colts game I have been exploring all over Paris. Mostly in the Latin Quarter, la Maurais District and over in Montmartre. These are the areas with the biggest sights in Paris. Yesterday was spent at la Louvre which was great, I got to see la Jocande( aka: Mona Lisa ). Besides la Louvre I have been in lectures mostly for orientation and exploring different cafes. Paris is great and I have already fallen in love with its charm. I am nervous about arriving to my host family's though but it will be a great I'm sure once the initial akwardness is over. I will fill you in more plus post pictures once I get settled in with them and I get into more of a routine which includes easier internet access. Until then...A bientot! :)

Bonjour a Paris !!
So I made it safe and sound! Both flights were smooth and not too terribly long. Costumes was a piece of cake also which was nice. The only problem is that, yes, I am minus a bag. Only one of my checked bags made it to Paris. I am waiting to see if the other arrives in the next few days and hoping everything works out. Despite that minor inconvenience, Paris has been wonderful. I was able to get to the Foyer des etudiantes internaionale without a problem. I spend a week here before moving to my host family's home. Ok, the jet lag, stress from missing baggage, and the sluggishness of this Internet connection are starting to get to me so I will keep this entry farely short this time. There is much more to come though and no worries, all is well :) Jess
